Arithmetic at every site
With 192 sites in a mouth, subtracting margin from depth by hand takes time and leaves errors behind.
OCLÜ is dental software with a digital periodontal chart of six sites per tooth, SAP or SEPA, periodontal indices, risk assessment (PRA) and a dated record, on the same file as the patient's calendar, clinical notes and treatment plans.
With 192 sites in a mouth, subtracting margin from depth by hand takes time and leaves errors behind.
With no calculation pulling together bleeding, pockets and bone loss, the maintenance interval gets decided by eye.
A paper periodontal chart ends up outside the record and is not at hand at the next check-up.
Periodontal history, smoking and diabetes live in the patient's history. Smoking and diabetes carry over to the risk assessment on their own.
You mark missing teeth and implants and enter depth and CAL (or margin, with SEPA) at all six sites, bleeding and suppuration per site, furcation per surface and mobility per tooth. The missing value is calculated, and pockets of 5 mm or more show in red.
The panel shows the sites with PD of 5 mm or more, the deepest CAL and the bleeding percentage. The risk assessment (PRA) returns low, moderate or high risk and suggests how often maintenance should happen.
You save and it becomes a record dated that day. If you have to hand it over or file it, you print it.
At the next visit the latest record opens, you update it and a new one is saved. Earlier ones open from the date picker.
SAP or SEPA, six sites per tooth, furcation, suppuration, indices, risk assessment and printing.
A note for every session signed by the clinician and the patient, plus a follow-up reminder for the team every 1, 3, 6 or 12 months.
You dictate the periodontal measurements and get a suggested diagnosis following the 2018 AAP-EFP consensus.
The treatment is quoted with your own treatments, in instalments, and the patient approves it by email.
The patient's X-rays. On a periapical you measure the bone loss for the risk assessment.
From the appointment you open the periodontal chart with a shortcut.
Both. With SAP, the default, you enter probing depth and CAL and the margin is calculated. With SEPA you enter depth and margin and the CAL is calculated. If you switch criteria, the record is recalculated.
Yes. The risk assessment (PRA) takes age, teeth and implants, bleeding, sites with PD of 5 mm or more and lost teeth. The clinician enters the bone loss percentage, smoking and systemic factors. It returns low, moderate or high risk, grade A, B or C, and a suggested maintenance interval of 3, 4 to 5, or 6 months.
Yes, with the OCLÜ AI add-on. You dictate the measurements, review what it understood and apply it. Dictation fills in depth, CAL or margin, bleeding, suppuration, mobility, missing teeth and implants; furcation is entered by hand. OCLÜ AI also suggests a diagnosis following the 2018 AAP-EFP consensus, which the clinician validates.
Every periodontal chart is saved with its date. From the date picker you open any earlier record, one at a time.
The periodontal chart, the indices and the risk assessment come with every plan. Dictation and the suggested diagnosis need the OCLÜ AI add-on.
