See patients remotely too

A follow-up, a first consultation, going over a scan, or a patient who lives far away. You book the virtual appointment and OCLÜ creates the video-call link, shares it with the patient and leaves it on the appointment. Each clinician connects their own Google Calendar and the link is a Google Meet one.

What eats your time today in virtual consultations

Links put together by hand

Every video call is created separately and the link gets copied and pasted into a chat.

Two calendars

The clinician looks at their Google Calendar and the clinic looks at another calendar that does not match.

Changes that never arrive

The appointment gets rescheduled and the old event is still in the clinician's calendar.

What Virtual consultations gives you in OCLÜ

Each clinician connects their own Google

The clinician connects their own Google account from their profile, under Integrations. It is available to users who are clinicians.

A virtual appointment with a Meet link

When booking you pick the virtual option and the event is created with its Google Meet link. The option appears when the appointment's clinician has Google connected.

In the assigned clinician's calendar

The event goes to the Google Calendar of the clinician doing the appointment, with the patient, the clinician, the clinic and the linked treatment plan. Internal appointment notes are not sent.

In-person ones too, if you want

Each clinician chooses whether their in-person appointments are added to their calendar as well, with the clinic's address. Virtual ones always sync.

Changes stay in sync

If you move the appointment or change the clinician or the patient, the event is updated. If you cancel it, delete it, or the patient cancels from their link, the event is removed.

The link reaches the patient

Google invites the patient if they have an email on their record, the appointment notice and reminder emails include the Meet link, and from the appointment you can copy it or send it over WhatsApp.

How Virtual consultations works, in three steps

  1. You connect Google

Each clinician goes to their profile, opens Integrations and connects their Google account.

  2. You book the virtual appointment

In the calendar you pick the virtual option and the event is created with its Meet link.

  3. They connect at the appointment time

The patient joins with the link they received, and the clinician joins from the appointment with Join the meeting.

Frequently asked questions about virtual consultations

Do virtual consultations cost extra?

No, the Google Calendar and Meet connection is included, with no add-on. Each clinician needs their own Google account.

Which calendar does the appointment appear in?

In the Google Calendar of the clinician assigned to the appointment, even if somebody else books it. If that clinician has not connected their account, no event is created.

If I change something in Google, does OCLÜ update?

No, the sync runs from OCLÜ to Google. Changes are made in the OCLÜ calendar and travel from there to the clinician's calendar.

What if I do not want to notify the patient?

Google will not notify them either. If you leave the email notice unticked when booking, or choose not to notify when you move it, the event is created or updated without sending them anything; and if you cancel later, Google only tells them if the invitation had reached them before.

What if Google does not respond?

The appointment is saved in OCLÜ anyway, and you see a notice that it could not be synced with Google Calendar.
