Health insurers: what the patient pays and what the insurer pays

For each treatment you enter how much the health insurer pays and how much the patient pays, and the treatment plan shows what each owes. OCLÜ handles the dental clinic's insurers, private plans and dental cover.

What eats your time today in health insurers

Coverage from memory

What each insurer covers per treatment is not written down anywhere.

A plan with no breakdown

The patient does not know how much they pay and how much the insurer pays until the bill arrives.

Billing at 60 days with no control

What the insurer owes the clinic gets tracked on a separate spreadsheet.

What Health insurers gives you in OCLÜ

Health insurers

You add the health insurer and, on its price list, enter for each treatment how much it pays and how much the patient pays.

Coverage per treatment

For each treatment you define how much the insurer covers and how much falls to the patient.

Patient price + covered price

Each treatment has two prices and the plan shows them separately.

In the treatment plan

You pick the cover's price list and the plan brings the breakdown for each treatment on its own.

What each insurer owes you

When a covered treatment is completed, the insurer's share is left outstanding in their name, by currency.

Batch collection

When the insurer pays, you mark several treatments as collected together against a cash box or bank account, with the reference number.

How Health insurers works, in three steps

  1. You enter the coverage

Add the insurer or private plan and its coverage per treatment.

  2. You assign it to the patient

On the record you state which cover and plan they have; it stays visible to the team.

  3. The plan breaks itself down

When quoting with the cover's list, OCLÜ separates patient price and covered price per treatment.

Frequently asked questions about health insurers

How is an insurer's coverage set up in OCLÜ?

You add the health insurer or private plan and, for each treatment on the clinic's list, define the price covered by the insurer and the price paid by the patient.

How does the coverage appear in the treatment plan?

Each treatment shows two amounts: what the patient pays and what the cover pays. The patient sees their share clearly and the clinic knows exactly what to claim from the insurer.

How do I keep track of what each insurer owes me?

In the insurer debt report, which shows outstanding and collected amounts by insurer and currency. When the payment arrives you mark the treatments as collected, one by one or in a batch, against the cash box or bank account it landed in, and the collection history is kept.

Is it useful for clinics that only see private patients?

Yes. If the clinic only sees private patients, treatment plans are built with a single price and the health insurer setup simply goes unused, without affecting the rest of OCLÜ.
