Each clinician and each operatory decides whether it accepts two appointments at the same time. If it does not, OCLÜ will not let them overlap.

Holidays, lunch and public holidays

You enter each clinician's holidays and lunch break and those hours cannot be booked. Public holidays come up as a notice and you decide whether you are working: if not, you block the day with one click.

Confirmation and rescheduling

The patient confirms or cancels from the reminder, and when you move an appointment you can let them know the new date.

How Calendar works, in three steps

  1. You set up hours and operatories

    You define each clinician's working days and hours, their lunch and their holidays, and the clinic's operatories with their overlap rule.

  2. You book from the web or the app

    You pick patient, clinician, operatory and, if you want, the treatment plan in progress; the appointment lands on the patient record.

  3. The patient confirms by link

    Before the appointment you send the reminder free from your own WhatsApp, or it goes out on its own with the add-on, and they confirm or cancel with one click.

Frequently asked questions about calendar

What calendar do dental offices use?

Plenty of offices use a paper diary, a phone calendar, or the calendar in a system that does not connect to the medical history or the cash box. The OCLÜ calendar is built in: the appointment is created on the patient record and links to the treatment plan, the payment and the reminders.

Does the calendar send automatic reminders?

Yes. Before each appointment OCLÜ sends an email reminder with a link to confirm or cancel; with the WhatsApp add-on, the reminder goes out over WhatsApp. The answer shows up in the calendar.

Can you double-book?

Yes, wherever you decide. Each clinician and each operatory has the option to allow overlapping appointments; if it is off, OCLÜ will not let you book two at the same time.

Does each dentist only see their own calendar?

The clinic decides, through each user's permissions: every clinician has their own calendar, and reception and admin can see them all together.

Can the calendar be used from a phone?

Yes. The OCLÜ app for iOS and Android includes the calendar in list, week and month views, with the same data as the web version.
